Concept art for the new Alien TV series shows an early look at a Xenomorph in its new setting. The new show will continue the franchise on the small screen, debuting on FX/Hulu, similarly to the new Predator prequel film, Prey. Legion's Noah Hawley is the showrunner for the series, which is set to being production in 2023.
FX chairman John Landgraf has revealed tidbits about the Alien show as it has developed, confirming that it will take place roughly 70 years from now and take place on Earth, which will be the first time the franchise has taken place there . It's also been confirmed that Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley will not be part of the show, nor will any other previous characters from the series.
The Alien franchise is expanding beyond Hawley's series as well, with an Alien 5 in development from director Fede Alvarez. The Evil Dead director's take on the franchise will also be unconnected to previous films, while returning to the franchise roots. Alien 5 will also be debuting on Hulu, where the Predator film Prey recently saw tremendous success.
There's a TV show for xenomorph?
Please be good 🙏
