Actor and comedian Jonah Hill has responded to his lack of promotion for his self-made documentary Stutz, revealing it was time to take a step back from the public eye to protect himself after almost two decades of anxiety attacks.

The 38-year-old revealed he had spent almost two decades experiencing anxiety attacks, which have been"exacerbated" by media appearances.regarding his lack of promotion for his self-made documentary Stutz, the actor said he would be stepping back from the public eye.

"I have come to the understanding that I have spent nearly 20 years experiencing anxiety attacks, which are exacerbated by media appearances and public facing events," he wrote in a statement to the news agency. "With this letter and with 'Stutz,' I'm hoping to make it more normal for people to talk and act on this stuff. So they can take steps towards feeling better and so that the people in their lives might understand their issues more clearly."

"Good or bad I want to politely let you know it's not helping and doesn't feel good," he wrote on Instagram in October 2021.Earlier this year, he shared a screenshot of a publication revealing a photo of him shirtless and changing into a black wetsuit.
