Under the Spire Music Festival is teaming up with the Town of Kensington to celebrate a week of music and wellness activities from Aug. 3-10. Contributed.The Under the Spire Music FestivalThe Kensington Music and Wellness Week is a collaboration between the festival, the Town of Kensington and local businesses like Ship to Shore, Luna Yoga, Singing Sands Music Therapy and more to provide a week of wellness activities, including a musical focus.

“The Town of Kensington is very pleased to be able to partner with community-minded organizations in providing barrier-free access to a full week of activities related to music and wellbeing,” said Kensington Mayor Rowan Caseley in a news release. There will be activities ranging from community dinners, music in the Kensington gazebo, 50 per cent tickets to USMF’s Midsummer Magic opening night and music listening hours in Historic St. Mary’s.

Aug 3rd starts the Kensington Music and Wellness Week with a free concert with Meaghan Blanchard & Kelley MooneyAttendees can also expect drum circles facilitated by Singing Sands Music Therapy and yoga classes accompanied by live music. The yoga and music events require pre-registration to maintain capacity, but all other events are free to those looking to enjoy health, wellness and creative activities.
