“It sounds ridiculous, but 60 years ago I’d say they never imagined it’d still be running in 2022.”

Ryan Tubridy is reflecting on hosting the Late Late Show over the past 13 years, as the chat show approaches it’s 60th year on screens. Chatting with the RTÉ Guide he shared that he never thought he’s be hosting it for this long after taking over from, Pat Kenny back in 2009.

Continuing he added; “And I am still here, 13 years later, which is remarkable. I didn’t know how long I would survive – maybe five years? Ten at the most? Yet we still go on, and I am loving it.” “I have no plans to go anywhere. It is just one of those beautiful jobs and I look forward to work every day.Chatting about how long the show has been on air, as it’s currently the longest running chat show in the world, he said;
