“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” Willis’ family said in a statement shared on daughter Rumer Willis’ Instagram page. “As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.

So sorry to hear this. FYI- Aphasia is a not a neurodenerative disease. It’s a symptom. Primary Progressive Aphasia is a neurodegerative disease. Please correct this!
Aphasia is not a neurodegenerative disease when caused by stroke or brain injury. If BruceWillis has worsening aphasia it’s probably PPA primary progressive aphasia, which has a different cause. So sorry he’s facing this, but the correct terminology is important.
