Bob Boughner on Kevin Labanc: “You can tell he’s fresh. He had some pop in his legs.”

SAN JOSE – Sharks winger Kevin Labanc, out the last three-plus months as he recuperated from shoulder surgery, could be available to play again next week, coach Bob Boughner said.

Boughner said Labanc will practice again Tuesday but won’t be available to play Wednesday or Thursday when the Sharks travel to play the Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche, respectively. But Labanc could be cleared to play after he sees a specialist later this week, Boughner said. “He looked good,” Boughner said of Labanc. “You can tell he’s fresh. He had some pop in his legs. His conditioning is pretty solid at this point – that’s all he had been doing. So that’s a good thing. A positive sign.”
