'It's been awful. And I'm not going to sit here and sugarcoat anything' dwtsirl UkraineRussiaWar

Erica Cody said her Dancing with the Stars professional partner Denys Samson is still trying to ‘figure out’ where he will go when the competition ends tomorrow - saying he can’t go home to Ukraine.

“And I think that's kind of like anybody watching a war unfold, it is not a very nice thing to witness, nevermind it to be your own home country and your family being back home. And there's nothing you can really do about it. The popular pairing, who have been topping the leaderboard weekly since the show started, have faced a number of blows throughout the season.

“It doesn't leave your mind, obviously. But you know, just that couple of hours a day would make the world a difference to him. Tomorrow’s finale will see each of the finalists take to the stage twice in a bid to win the coveted title and trophy, performing a ‘show dance’ and a ‘judges choice’ number from from one of their previous performances seen in the series.

“And the fact I got to do the whole, full 12 weeks, and the full journey is like, I couldn't have asked her for a better experience.
