The Emmy Award-winning creator of Watchmen, Damon Lindelof, is reportedly working on a new Star Wars film. Lindelof, also known for co-creating Lost and The Leftovers, is regarded for his ambitious storytelling, bizarre twists, sprawling ensembles, and unique structures, all points that would fit well within the Star Wars canon. Outside of television, Lindelof has contributed to such films as Star Trek Into Darkness, Tomorrowland, and The Hunt.
Star Wars needs no introduction as the epic space opera that has defined a generation of pop culture and storytelling. With the franchise recently being sold to Disney, projects for it have been getting greenlit continuously with new movies, TV shows, video games, theme park rides, and merchandise coming from the acquisition. The franchise's latest offering, Obi-Wan Kenobi, is set to premiere on May 25 on Disney+.
