Star Wars Red Saber Funko Pop Series Kicks Off With Darth Sidious

Funko has been cranking out exclusive Pop figure series lately with Star Wars Duel of the Fates, Marvel Sinister 6, and Guardians of the Galaxy Benatar being just a few of the collections that are currently ongoing. Now you can add the Star Wars Red Saber Series to the lineup, which kicked off today with the release of this Deluxe Darth Sideous.

The Red Saber Series Darth Sidious features a glow-in-the-dark lightsaber and lava display base. It's a GameStop exclusive that you can pre-order right here for $29.99 while it lasts. The Pop figure is set for release on June 21st. As the title of the series suggests, the Red Saber series is going to be all about the Sith. Of course, some Star Wars Funko Pop collectors might not be thrilled with shelling out $30 a Pop for 5 Deluxe figures with simple bases that don't seem to connect. However, it's pretty clear from the silhouettes that Savage Oppress from the Clone Wars will be part of the series, which is pretty exciting.

Funko's fairly useless teaser silhouettes also reveal that Savage's brother Darth Maul will be part of the series alongside Palpatine and Darth Vader.
