City Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Azman Ayob, in a statement on Saturday said that the raids on Friday night saw 75 customers and two premise owners fined for flouting Covid-19 SOPs.
"Both premise owners were issued compounds of RM1,000 each. A total of 75 customers from both premises were also issued compounds of the same amount each," he said. In a related matter, SAC Azman said that the police had issued 238 compounds for failing to comply to Covid-19 SOPs from Jan 1 until now.
"Operations such as these will be increased from time to time as part of our effort to assist the government in controlling the spread of infection," he said.
