In partnership with them, we talked to three different trans athletes about their dedication, routines, and how they put themselves in the best position to succeed during their respective seasons. 💗

— to learn about their routines to stay healthy and put themselves in the best position to succeed during their respective seasons.

Practices consisted of long swims in the pool and spending plenty of time in the weight room, toning different muscles in his body in order to reach peak performance. Once classes and practices were over, then it was time to study and try to get to bed before midnight to ensure a good night's sleep before doing it all over again.

Also, an athlete needs to take care of what goes into their body by eating well. That doesn’t mean that you have to control everything you eat obsessively, he said, especially because of the “toxic diet culture” out there. Eating what you feel is best for you is one of the best things an athlete can do.

Looking back on those elite years, Bailar notes how unique his experience was — but wishes it weren’t that way. “They were just there to kind of make me see the other side of it, and I was very grateful because I didn't want to lose my last year of track just because of what people are saying on the internet,” she said.

Practices were tough, Yearwood said, to build up the muscle memory needed to perform at meets. By the time competition season rolled around, Yearwood said practices shifted to focus on the smallest technical components to get an edge. The tiniest fractions of a second can mean the difference between winning a state title and finishing at the back of a heat.

Summer practices were long, and early in the morning to avoid straining during the midday heat according to Sarah Huckman. That meant a 7 a.m. start time to get in a seven mile run multiple times a week, clocking mileage in before the season started. As an athlete on the Varsity cross country team and nordic skiing team for her high school in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Huckman took her training seriously.

Why do you hate women so much ?

Dearie dearie dearie me!

Awful misogynist rag. Why are you gaslighting women and girls?

There is no trans woman dominating a single sport we have never had an elite world record broken by or world championship won by a trans athlete. Reality cisgender athletes have won every one of the last 4,928 Olympic Medals.”

So the reason men are faster than women is they train harder? You reek of misogyny.

them It’s unfair to women

them With respect to their advantage or lack thereof, their answers are completely and utterly irrelevant. Its their RESULTS that matter. Do trans women as a group do better in womens events than they did in mens events before. Yes or no?
