Harrison Ford treated 'Blade Runner' fans to the scornful studio notes about his beloved 1982 sci-fi film during the 2021 Oscars.

Ford opened his presentation by reading notes from a crumpled-up piece of paper aboutthough he did not say right away which film he was talking about — but fans of the Ridley Scott picture knew immediately.“‘Opening too choppy. Why is this voiceover track so terrible?" a gruff Ford began. Fans of the film know Ford hated the voiceover track, which the studio insisted be added to better help viewers understand what was going on. It was removed from later cuts of the film.

"He sounds drugged," Ford continued on, unimpressed."Were they all on drugs? Deckard at the piano is interminable. Flashback dialogue confusing. Is he listening to a tape? Why do we need the third cut to the eggs? The synagogue music is awful on the streets. We’ve got to use Vangelis. Up to Zora’s death, the movie is deadly dull."While not a box office hit at the time,Sign up for Heat Vision's weekly newsletter for all things comics, sci-fi and more.

The interview tapes were bloody confusing, but actually it lent texture to the movie it badly needed! I’ll always prefer the original cut anyway.

I actually agreed with the critics.

Blade Runner 2049 was Ok - but nothing beats the original!
