For their fall 2020 show, Badgley Mischka incorporated two very English but very different cultural moments. One was the period show, set in the Edwardian era. Then there was the loose, hippy-fied bohemian era of The Beatles in the ’60s and ’70s. While both British influences were visually opposites, they worked quite seamlessly together on the runway.
Of course, there were the megawatt looks from the label. Those included standard black-tie ensembles, such as an off-the-shoulder, clingy black gown. While these looks weren't ground-breaking, they were still pretty and captivating. The standout pieces were the least formal, in particular a camel hued butter-soft jacket-poncho belted at the waist. With fringe that kicked up with every step the model took, it had the fun power to elevate any daytime outfit.
BadgleyMischka Nice! I would like to wear some.
