Reboot of 80s movie Highlander in the works and Henry Cavill has leading role

A reboot of the hit movie Highlander is on the way and will be filmed in Scotland with the ball already rolling on filming locations.

Stahelski told Collider that he was aiming to have the film in production within a year, he told the publication: "We start shooting in January in Scotland, that's why I go right after I leave. I go to Scotland on Monday to do the final location scout." The British fantasy film followed the story of Connor MacLeod, a Highlander born into the clan Macleod in the 16th century.Under the tutelage of an Egyptian-Spanish swordsman named Ramirez , he discovers his fate is to face off against the man who killed him, another immortal known as the Kurgan in a bid to win a mysterious prize of unlimited power that all of these immortals were born to compete for.
