Mamamia founder Mia Freedman is set to demolish the lavish $12 million Point Piper mansion she purchased just four years ago, in order to undertake a lavish rebuild in the ritzy suburb. According to The Daily Telegraph on Friday, Freedman and husband Jason Lavigne will spend $3.9 million on the project. Freedman purchased the current five-bedroom, four-bathroom home in 2020, with a hefty price tag of $12.75 million.
The Telegraph reports the couple were previously living in the Fintry estate, in Bellevue Hill for which they signed a rent to buy agreement, but the contract was later withdrawn by the owner following a disagreement over a $251,800 bill to fix a leaky roof. Court proceedings over the matter are reportedly continuing. Freedman is a Sydney digital media entrepreneur who began her career at Cleo magazine and later became the editor of Cosmopolitan magazine, aged 24.
