MOVIE REVIEW: We discover if horror 'Founders Day' is worth your vote

In similar vein to Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving, Founders Day sees a masked killer inspired by a historical event laying waste to residents of a small town.Helmer Erik Bloomquist co-wrote the script with his brother Carson and there is a lot of political satire at play as the candidates for mayor use everything at their disposal to boost their campaigns.

One of the things that struck me about Founders Day is that I didn’t recognise a single member of the cast other than Erik Bloomquist, who lends his talents in front of the camera as well as behind it. The killer’s choice of weapon - a secret knife hidden in a gavel - is unique and they don’t hold back when dispatching their prey.
