Driver did not say “he won’t be redeemed”. He said “he does not need redemption”. Considering the Kylo/Revan parallels it makes sense: he needed the dark side to finish what Vader started (kill palpatine) with the dark side (his father’s help)
I mean he’s saying form Kylo’s perspective it’s not a concrete thought of “I need redemption.” It’s more of an evolution that happens as a character grows.
