actress, Kgomotso Christopher recently shared how, when she was still a student at a University in New York, she was asked by her lecturer to be the legendary Dr John Kani's chaperone.
"Ndaze nda dibana na lo Tata wa se Black Panther, aka Dr. Kani, Living Legend and my colleague at Naledi Awards! Congratulations on your GQMagazine Lifetime Achievement Award, Tata," she wrote in an Instagram post. Kgomotso mentioned how nervous she was to be trusted with such an honourable duty, but those nerves quickly evaporated because of John’s humility."Fun Fact: Years ago as a student in New York, Dr Kani came to give a seminar. My lecturer, knowing that I was South African, bless her soul, asked me to be his chaperone for the day, I was a bag of nerves...but Tata being who he is instantly put me at ease with his stories and jokes for days," she wrote.
