Notorious judge Simon Cowell showed a softer side on Saturday when he broke down in tears at the live X Factor final, prompting his girlfriend Lauren Silverman to run over and give him a hug.
Fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger tried to comfort him by rubbing his upper-arm just before Simon’s girlfriend, and the mother of his child, ran onto the the judges podium and threw her arms around him, hugging him from behind. Love Island star Wes Nelson, 21, then added: "We've seen some absolutely amazing charity singles over the years and to be part of that is surreal. It's something that makes a difference.
