Former The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge has emotionally recalled the scary moment her son gave her and her husband Wayne Bridge a croup “scare” on Monday night.
Speaking in the clip she says: “So, Parker’s just given us our usual winter croup scare. It’s actually the first one for this side of winter. Recalling the terrifying moment in the night that her son began to have symptoms of a croup attack, she says: “The volume wasn’t on that high of the monitor and I’m a really light sleeper but I didn’t hear him this time. Luckily, Wayne’s mum was awake and she heard him so that was lucky.”
“So, we give him that straight away when he gets it and it normally sorts him out. He’s now shattered and straight back to sleep.” Appealing to any of her 1million followers who may also have a child who suffers from croup she ends her video with: “If there’s any other parents who are out that who’s kids are like that please let me know because, it is blooming terrifying.
Symptoms of croup include a barking cough that sounds like a seal, a hoarse voice, difficulty breathing and a rasping sound when breathing in.
