Netflix Original film, “The Two Popes,” from Fernando Meirelles, the Oscar-nominated director of “City of God,” arrives at the Singapore International Film Festival as part of a global festival run that includes Telluride, Toronto, Busan, London, Mumbai, Camerimage and AFI. Adapted from his own play by fellow Oscar nominee Anthony McCarten , presenting Jason Derulo with a plaque commemorating 190 million overall sales worldwide.

This is hardly some standout achievements though lol. Netflix movies have hardly been a big deal

It's a shame that the large chains are being so stubborn about putting the streaming service movies in their theaters. They have to know they're on the losing end of this, right? The exclusivity windows are going to have to get shorter whether they like it or not.

If you guys at Variety saw my teeny TV at my home you'd understand why I went to see THE IRISHMAN in Westwood the other night for $12 on the big screen.
