'We were just talking about a song by Kylie Minogue, 'Can’t Get You Out of My Head.' That’s good karaoke. And the 'la, la, la.' Everybody can jump on that.'

JADIE STILLWELL:

I just got to listen to the new album, and it was great. How would you say it’s different from your other two releases? There are a lot of differences. How we started recording it was different because, for the first time since we started Milky Chance, we had taken a break from touring. No shows, no nothing. And so we could really focus on being creative again and getting back into the studio, diving into the process, and having nothing else on our minds.

We just wanted to get affected by our surroundings. We started in our home studio. Then we took a break, then we continued in a studio in Italy for two weeks and took another break and then had another two weeks in Norway.Did you have a favorite studio that you recorded in?I think the last one, in Norway, was quite significant. The place was right next to the ocean. So you could see the water basically all day long, no matter what you did. That really had an effect on us.

Whitney Houston, Robyn Crawford, and Wendy Williams Walk Into an Alley...Sometimes, when I’m despondent and gloomy, a thought haunts me. Humans will hopefully outlive these turbulent times and go on to achieve space travel, maybe even cure cancer—but there will never, ever be anyone as powerful as Whitney Houston. Ever again! It’s a sobering thought, and one I can’t escape since Robyn Crawford’s press tour for A Song For You, a memoir about her life with the late singer!

Robyn Crawford's Indispensable Memoir Shows Us More of Whitney Houston Than We've Ever SeenMany Whitney Houston fans never thought this day would come. Robyn Crawford, the singer’s friend, assistant, and long-rumored lover has broken her silence. As if that silence were a dam, the words pour out with a palpable fervor in Crawford’s new memoir A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston. This is a generous, loving book that has more insight on Houston’s career—the ride, the fall—than any other single source that I’ve encountered (it wipes the floor with the 2017 documentary Can I Be Me? and the 2018 one Whitney). Some 40 years in the making, A Song for You is unequivocally worth the wait.
