NSTworld K-pop sensation ChoiSi-won made Unicef ambassador

The K-pop singer, who is also an accomplished songwriter, actor and model, was bestowed the honour during the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Vientiane, Laos on Nov 11, according to The Laotian Times.

He will also highlight the importance of sustained investments to unleash the potential of Lao children between now and 2030, while visiting a school and youth-led radio group in Laos. The convention was formulated to assess progress towards the implementation of the CRC and Sustainable Development Goals ; and discuss future efforts to unleash the unlimited potential of children and young people in Laos.

In his capacity as a Unicef representative, he recently visited Vietnam, where he supported Unicef’s #StopBullying campaign to raise awareness of bullying and engage young people in developing solutions to end the problem.
