The films centers on Lito , a mentally ill man jailed after being wrongfully accused of raping and murdering a little girl, and Yesha , his six-year-old daughter who will grow up to become a lawyer to prove her father’s innocence. Bella Padilla will take on the role of the older Yesha, which was originally offered to Nadine Lustre. Lustre backed out of the remake due to health reasons.
Directed by Nuel Naval, the movie is an official entry to the 2019 Metro Manila Festival, and will be shown in theaters beginning December 25. Completing the cast are: Joel Torre, JC Santos, Mon Confiado, Jojit Lorenzo, Soliman Cruz, John Arcilla, introducing Xia Vigor, and with the special participation of Tirso Cruz III.
