The Japan edition of the Brazilian musician's first new studio album in over five years will include a remix of the lead track, "Sabor Do Rio," with J-pop rapperincludes all new tracks, which Mendes notes was "the first time I became so involved in the songwriting," showcasing an array of his signature vibrant Brazilian-infused pop.
SKY-HI first met Mendes in the fall of 2018 in Tokyo. "I thought it must be some kind of prank when I first received the offer," he recalled. "I said so in the song as well, but both my parents and I are huge fans, and Sérgio's sunny energy both as a musician and as a person gave me a priceless experience that I'll never forget."
"Sabor Do Rio -SKY-HI Remix-" dropped digitally Friday ahead of the album's release. You can pre-order the album on iTunes Store.
