, after the group was involved in a scary van crash earlier this week. Drummer Joey Armstrong and the rest of the group -- singer/guitarists Cole and Max Becker and bassist Sebastian Mueller -- wrote in a note to fans that their van hit a patch of black ice on the way from their homebase of Oakland to Denver, resulting in a crash that injured Max Becker.
As a result of the crash, they said, they have been forced to cancel the remainder of their 2019 tour dates. "We regret to inform you that last night on the drive from Oakland to Denver, Max, Josh, and Natalie encountered black ice on the road, causing them to lose control of the van," they wrote. "Thankfully, first responders were able to quickly get them to an incredible team of doctors in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Wyoming, and everyone is going to be ok.
At press time a spokesperson for the group could not be reached for comment on the extent of the injuries suffered by the band members and their team. "Our brother Max is the strongest person in the world," they continued. "He is our fearless leader. It's going to be a long road to recovery, but we all know that if anyone can do it, Max can."
