Apple's 'The Morning Show': What the Critics Are Saying

represents a major investment for Apple's new streamer, which launches Friday at $4.99 per month. As reviews were released on Monday morning, the series received a Metacritic score of 60 and a 71 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

While commending Crudup's performance and the dynamic between Aniston and Witherspoon, he says that the series, and Apple TV+ as a whole, "may think its stories are different than everyone else’s, but they aren’t. Nor are they told well enough to make up for that. The show, and the service, don’t need to exist, and thus far aren’t justifying that existence.

Chaney also questions Apple's repeated instance that Carell is not playing a Lauer-inspired character, when he's fired for sexual misconduct, left by his younger, model-esque wife and has a button under his desk that closes and locks his door.

For some reason I thought the price was $4.99/week. Lol. $4.99/month is not bad at all!! Loving this show so far!!

It was so so boring though

I watched the first episodes. It's really good. It feels like watching a good movie. The acting, cinematography, script - it's top notch. The only thing I didn't like was the opening title. Who needs it? Anyway great show

The first two episode is free in Apple TV. After watching Morning Show, I have to say: It’s beyond my expectations, yes it’s quite good

The question is will people pay for yet another streaming service, let alone that AppleTV seems to have just this one show they're advertising...Seems like they're putting all their eggs in one basket on this launch, but...who knows.

$15 MM an episode, for this grounded a series, is a total joke, and let’s you know the only reason A list talent got involved. If you want good shows, try developing material that intrigues top talent. Making Godfather offers to lure names onto bad shows isn’t the model.

I got it free for a year for the purchase of an Apple product so far not at all worth it total waste

Of all the streaming competing with Netflix, The other one I would suscribe is Disney + , the rest as HBO , Apple TV doesn’t get my interest yet. I have amazon prime for the books and others things, but not for their programming.
