SESAC Latina and La Industria Inc. joined forces to offer their Music 101 seminar at the Gibson Showroom on Wednesday to rising musicians, producers and songwriters in Miami. The four-hour event -- designed to give an intensive introduction to creative, financial, legal and administrative aspects of the Latin music business from experienced executives, artists and producers -- included sessions with Ana Rocha, SESAC’s manager creative services; Rodrigo Nieto-Galvis, VP senior relationship manager CN Bank; Matthew Limones, manager of artists & label relations at SoundExchange; and David Daza, head of legal & business affairs at La Industria Inc.
“I have been with SESAC two years, and this is very important. They keep you organized in all aspects,” Latin songwriter Joel tells his forthcoming album, due in January 2020. The Music 101 seminar was originally created in 2017 by SESAC Latina and La Industria Inc. with its first event in Medellín, Colombia.
