The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry and Worldwide Independent Network are working together on a centralized gateway for record companies to exchange data about their repertoires with music licensing companies.

Historically, record companies have used a variety of processes to deliver this data into the international network of MLCs. The RDx aims to streamline the process with a single entry point and using the standardized data format DDEX.
