Thousands of antigovernment protesters in Hong Kong marched in a demonstration Saturday that some hoped would show Trump the movement still has momentum

HONG KONG—Thousands of antigovernment protesters in Hong Kong marched from a historic clock tower through a shopping district lined with luxury stores on Saturday, in a demonstration that some hoped would show President Trump the movement still has momentum.

After a meeting with China’s vice premier at the White House on Friday, Mr. Trump said the protests have “toned down a lot” and that “great progress has been made by China in Hong Kong.” He added that the situation is “going to take care of itself.”

Jokes!

shame on them, riot protesters

Today Hong Kong USA Tomorrow The CCP is suppressing the democratic freedoms of Hong Kong people in a more violent way. Countless Hong Kong people are in dire straits, and even the freedom to peacefully demonstrate on the streets has been denied.

These are the reasons why there are fewer people in hk’s protests:

If by “taking care of itself” he means China will not relent until every person in Hong Kong has an electronic collar around their neck then yes. But that is not what America stands (stood?) for. We used to be the beacon of freedom to the world. Now we just sell out (nba) for ¥$

The brainless thugs are doomed to fail! They are inhuman and heartless too. Taking side with those demons have cost the western media all its credibility among Chinese people!

Terrorist Rioter LIar

Indeed it is losing momentum. Normal people are sick of street fighting and vandalising of shops, subway stations, etc.

No longer it will last. The traitors were only trying to destroy their own opportunities. Standing against the whole nation will have no good ending.

There were still demonstrators in Hong Kong's streets on Saturday. Why did a radical group resort to destruction and vandalism against non-political sites such as stores? HongKongProtests

HKer's aren't going anywhere, and if CCP and Lam cancels the elections in Novermber - you'll see another 3 1/2 million on the streets

He is Singularily the very best reporter at Fax News. So he would not be leaving because of low ratings. It's that Bill Barr visit to Murdoch's house why he is leaving. He was like a Stone in your shoes.

Only thousands? Clearly the movement is losing momentum.

Happening in Hong Kong every day, police brutality

What’s he going to do tweet about it?

This will be California soon if Democrats keep it up and destroy our freedom.

America, the good force of the world, it’s time to act.

In our behavior, actions and words is the present and future of the life. Love, peace and respect to our Home Planet and life. Blessings.

The best thing for US to do is to stay out of it. However, as part of the international community we must maintain a watchful eye, and insure China does not violate human rights. As I have said, China has right over Hong Kong. Hong Kong has right to fight for sovreignty.

This means here too honestly. They are not leaving without one. Even if we win. See how they dismiss trumps corruption

Pass the Hong Kong human Rights and democracy Act please America!

Sadly, I don't think they can count on Trump for anything... except deception.

Good luck with that
