Aerial photograph reveals 100 years of 'heartbreaking' ice loss on Mont Blanc

Coordinates of the original photo were worked out and scientists flew there. They took the same photograph and noticed the white ice covered less ground. One warned that climate change means a photo in 2119 could show no ice at all.

What’s “heartbreaking” about it? Europe used to be covered in a kilometre if ice. Is anyone seriously suggesting we’re not better off since it melted?

Denmark was once completely covered by ice 🌍

Why is less snow a problem? Polar bears and penguins will have rocks to live on, easier access to fish and nice warm happy feet.........We all prefer summer to winter, right?
