"It's going to be hard to give me that because so much of [the films are] animated, which [many] don't take seriously, but which is harder to do than anything, almost. And [also], one of the best of the singer/songwriters," Newman adds, in the most recent episode of 's 'Awards Chatter' podcast. "To be in the highest rank there would be good.
Newman will almost certainly get his wish. A scion of Hollywood's most famous musical family , Newman has won two Oscars , three Emmys and four Grammys , leaving him just a Tony away from becoming an EGOT. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. And, at 75, he is having one of the biggest years of his career.
