Prosecutors have withdrawn kidnapping charges against Roberta Williams, who has made a brief appearance in Melbourne Magistrates Court alongside five men who are alleged to have threatened and attacked a television producer in July.
Ms Williams, 50, still faces nine charges, including alleged extortion and threats to kill Ryan Naumenko, a television producer who planned to feature Ms Williams in a reality television series. The five men face similar charges related to the alleged incident at a party in Collingwood hosted by the former wife of slain gangland figure Carl Williams.
Her co-accused are Jake Sexton, John James Harrison, Hassam Al Zwainy, Daniel DeSilva and Mohamed Al Shemkhawi.
