Fashionistas stole the show at day two of the National Ploughing Championships as men and women braved the sweltering temperatures in a bid to be crowned best dressed.Prize money, bespoke suits and a trip to Abu Dhabi was up for grabs and Gerry Johnston who “sweated like a pig” took away the overall title.
Liz Farrell’s first time at the Ploughing paid off but said it was a "defibrillator" she needed after the win. Punters searched for a spot to cool off while some lay down on the grass in between stalls in the shade.
