This week's jobs data is expected to show unemployment rising another notch, a trend that is unlikely to change anytime soon as residential construction rolls over from its peak early last year.

"While there are still plenty of projects in the pipeline, the number of new ones isn't enough to offset those being completed," Mr Pickering said.

Very much higher I’ve never seen so many tradies around town in my life. When construction comes off it will be a disaster. You can’t pump prime an economy forever, interest rates have hardly any room left to move. Even the RBA are panicking.
