The Department of Justice has released photos of William Tyrrell from the morning the toddler went missing

Along with the photos, the department has released a transcript of an interview with a witness from April 2017. In the transcript the witness said he saw William in the back of a car.The photos, taken by one of William's foster carers, were taken the morning he disappeared from the Mid North Coast.The transcript shows the witness, Ronald Chapman, told investigators that he thought he had heard the postman “out the front”.

“And that’s when, um, I saw William in the back seat of a four-wheel drive with his two hands up on the window in his Spiderman suit, unrestrained.”NSW Department of JusticeMr Chapman said about 45 metres behind the first vehicle was a male driver in a blue car.
