After four years of marriage, actress Zooey Deschanel and producer Jacob Pechenik are going their separate ways.in which Deschanel starred and Petchnik produced. They got engaged in early 2015, and tied the knot that summer. They had their first child, Elsie, in July 2015 and their son, Charlie, in May 2017.
“After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners,” a rep for the couple told. “We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time.”
Deschanel was previously married to Death Cab For Cutie lead singer Ben Gibbard. They split in 2011 after two years of marriage.
