Anna Goodman playing piano as a kid had a huge influence on me as a musician. We met as six-year-olds at elementary school in North Carolina., Sandra Rushing, realised that my sometimes bad behaviour or lack of focus could be redirected, so she got me learning percussion to join the school band. That changed the course of my life. Being good at something gave me confidence and put me in a situation where I played well with others.in high school at the age of 16.
