, whose upcoming concert during a city festival in Bilbao, Spain was canceled after complaints that his lyrics are degrading to women, has announced he will offer his own free show on the same night.

A publicist for Tangana contacted by Billboard confirmed the show. “Censorship and prohibiting are not the way to educate," Tangana wrote on Instagram. “In my music there are a lot of women…the women who listen [to my music] are no less feminist than any others,” They are women who decide for themselves what roles in films, songs and novels they want to identify with. I talk a lot of shit in my songs. Think for yourself.”
Tangana’s appearance at Bilbao’s annual week-long Aste Nagusia street festival had been canceled after over 15,000 people signed a change.org petition calling for his removal from the line-up, because the lyrics of his songs are degrading to women. that Tangana would be replaced by Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capó.
