are trying to avert a relationship crisis in the visual for their collaborative single “Keep You Mine.”
The visual, directed by Kee Hwang, begins with a high-tension confrontation between a young couple that is only soothed by the company of friends and the unstoppable power of the song to loosen the edge. “The goal of the ‘Keep You Mine’ video was to give a strong visual representation of the message of the song,” the duo, whose name is pronounced "noted," tells. “Sometimes in a relationship, you need to have the awareness when to give each other a little space in order to avoid too big of an argument which may cause a break up. Taking a little time away is usually the best idea to cool things off and get back on track.
The three artists combine forces to solve the situation with Shy pulling double duty as the trusty friend and compassionate vocalist while the duo provides the therapeutic groove. Although they work together to put the fire out in the song, that didn’t stop the team from causing a little chaos at the video shoot.
“We [Notd and Shy Martin] made cameos in the video, which was important to us and had a lot of fun on set, as we actually partied until the fire marshall came and cleared us out,” the group recalls.today via Island Records.
