Sian, a trained first aider, got out of her car attempting to help the victim.

A man ‘covered in blood’ was seen jumping into Sian Jayasekera’s car after he crashed on the M61

But while she was searching an embankment trying to find him, he jumped into her parked Volkswagen Golf and sped off. Sian said: ‘It’s one of those stories you see in the paper or in a film, you don’t think it’s ever going to happen to you.‘[The crash] was so bad that I seriously thought I’d be looking for a body.‘I pulled over and went running down, I thought I’d be doing CPR. I’m a trained first aider and I just wanted to see what I could do.’
