Court papers filed on Thursday show Epstein put his $577 million fortune in a trust, which could make it more difficult for his victims to sue for compensation.

. The women, who were aspiring models at the time and now live in Japan and Baltimore, claim they were paid hundreds of dollars to give Epstein a massage 15 years ago, but that they were sexually assaulted at his Manhattan mansion. In a separate case, 32-year-old Jennifer Araoz sued Epstein’s estate under the news Child Victims Act in New York last Wednesday, claiming the financier molested her when she was 14.

Epstein, 66, was accused of running a sex trafficking ring between 2002 and 2005 involving girls as young as 14, charges which he denied. He had been convicted in 2008 of procuring an underage girl, and was registered as a sex offender, under a controversial plea deal agreement with Florida prosecutors. Medical examiners concluded he died by suicide after he was found in his cell on August 10.
