I must be missing something, but I'm quite sure actors ARE supposed to be judged fitting to a role (partially) by their looks and accent/voice? Common sense says that is one of the few jobs where such judgment IS legitimate, together with modeling or singing, perhaps.

Well a good voice, well performed acting/singing, helps a lot. First, stop crying about your heritage and your complaining about bad reviews and start making good music that people actually like to listen to. Second. That's all there is to be appreciated in the music world.
