We compiled a list of the top 15 schools from our Top Colleges List producing the most critically acclaimed actors, producers, writers and musicians in the past five years.
Producing nearly double as many professionals in the entertainment industry as any other school, New York University takes the top spot. NYU is highly recognized for its rigorous programs in the Tisch School of the Arts. Many of Hollywood’s top talent attended Tisch, including 2019 Grammy winners, Donald Glover and Lady Gaga. Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese earned his Master of Fine Arts at Tisch only a year after it was founded.
Another recent addition to the Top Colleges List, the Berklee College of Music is the third-highest producer of entertainers, through the sheer number of Grammy winners who have attended the music school. 2013 graduate Charlie Puth most recently won a Grammy for his album “Voicenotes.” Two-time Grammy winner Anne Clark, or St. Vincent as she is referred to on stage, and artist John Mayer both attended the school though they dropped out before graduating.
The school’s have produced some of the entertainment industry’s most recognized names, as well as many of the professionals who work behind the scenes, such as the 2018 Emmy winning screenwriter for FX hit “The Americans,” Joe Weisberg who graduated from Yale in 1987 and the co-creator of “Game of Thrones,” Dartmouth graduate David Benioff.

What a stupid reason to choose a college
Spike Lee sucks. His movies are horrible.
Pretty sure people should choose a college on reasons other than this
No, no, and no. Didn't go to college for celebrity sightings.
Unless you go to college to become a personal assistant or learn how to entourage why would you spend $70,000 on tuition to glimpse these people?
Not particularly.
