1/2 Coming from watching soaps where many actors play older or younger than their real age, it's more about optics than anything. It's easy to buy when an actor looks age appropriate for whatever story or relationship is being portrayed.

Why is always assumed characters are the same age as their actors? Why can't Shaw be a bit younger than Statham actually is? Or Hattie a bit older than Vanessa Kirby actually is? Characters aren't exactly like the actors.
