That’s why I just say with a smile.. “Don’t bother pouring it, I’ll take the whole can with a glass of ice, please.” They never refuse. Win-win :)
The only thing I can say is: 1. Good to know. 2. Pour it like a beer, with the glass tipped. It decreases the fizz in any altitiude. It might still be a little fizzy, but it will pour faster, with less bubbles. That works for ANY soft drink. Never pour it with the glass upright.

Try pouring a carbonated beverage over fresh ice and then over ice that has been wetted with water and drained first. That latter foams much less.
