Stop blaming the ship. Why didnt Grandpa put her on the floor to look. It's horrible. But a child could not reach the window. It's us adults who are to be responsible.
Grandpa keeps crying because he knows it’s his fault. The family needs to realize this kid has been allowed to bang on glass, so that means she was only trying to do what she was allowed to do at the hockey games. Putting her on the rail allowed her to try and bang on the glass

It’s a terrible tragedy but not the cruise ships fault. The open window was high off the ground, not toddler level. And grandpa chose the one open window out of the dozens of shut windows to bring her to? Just. Coincidence it was the open one? Not likely.
Clearly this an absolutely heartbreaking accident, however, whether you thought there was glass there or not, why would you put a toddler against a window?

Its not the cruise lines fault. It was an accident. Sure the window could have had a screen but the baby could also have not been placed on the ledge. It’s all what ifs. It’s sad&her grandpa will never forgive himself but suing for a big pile of money won’t bring her back

I'm so sorry for this family's loss and what they are going through but I'm not sure why its the cruise line's fault? From what I read, the grandpa lost his grip? Either way it is never easy to lose family :(
