At a recent press conference, Jay Montelibano, VP for sales of Viva Communications, Inc., said the event will be “a star-studded, educational and entertaining event.” He added VivaCon will assemble their biggest stars, including Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Matteo Guidicelli, Bela Padilla, Yassi Pressman, Cristine Reyes, Xian Lim, and Sam Concepcion.
A 550 peso ticket will give convention attendees access to all the scheduled activities. These include talks with media influencers like Donnalyn Bartolome, VRJ Books writer Marcelo Santos III, YouTubers Julian Trono, Ella Cruz, Meunnie Cullantes, Jam Raquion and “Jowable” director Darryl Yap. Creative talks with screenwriters and directors like actress Bela Padilla, Treb Monteras , Sigrid Bernardo , Paul Basinillo , Jason Paul Laxamana , Irene Villamor , and Nuel Naval are also scheduled.
In its first phase Viva’s extensive library of film classics, modern indie pieces, live concerts and series will be available on both iflix’s Free and VIP tiers. A wide selection of Hollywood films and K-dramas dubbed in Filipino will be premiering on the platform as well. The show opened with host Sam Y.G. jumping onto the stage to welcome everyone and chat a bit about the various offerings on iflix Free, named so as no sign up is needed.
