AT a glance dance music can seem like it's all about the same old big names.

You are playing at The Cause tonight alongside Clive Henry and Saytek to raise money for mental health charities Mind and The CALMzone. Can you tell us a bit more about the event and how you got involved? Clubbing culture has been going for thirty years, but only in the last few years have we really seen mental health becoming a big talking point within it. I’ve had friends of mine take their own lives, and it’s a silent killer. You’re out with them one week, it seems nothing is wrong and the next they’re gone. You have no clue, and then you get the phone call.

It’s basically the same message but it was set up by James Harley. He brought a group of friends together, he had DJs, artists and vintage clothes sellers. It was a mini festival in itself, and we put on parties in clubs around London and festivals like Secret Garden Party. This was closer to home for us, we’d all lost a close friend through mental illness, so it directly affected all of us. It drove us to get that message out there when no one at the time was addressing the topic.

Racial bias in 2019 summed up in two tweetsAlex Mann is the music fan who became an overnight sensation after he made headlines for his impromptu performance with rapper Dave at this year's Glastonbury. However, some people online are arguing There is no racial bias. It's clearly a creator, being asked about his choices in his videos vs a fan and a once in a lifetime opportunity. If one digs deeper perhaps they can find gold or even diamonds as well. What is the matter with people, two different interviews and interviewers, different styles, different approaches. There is enough topics to be picked up instead of shouting wolf. Problem with this comparison: 1) Alex was performing another person's song as a fan, so why would he be asked about anything related to the song's message? 2) AJ Tracey has rapped about things like stabbing/killing people. Why wouldn't he be asked about gangs?
