Jim Henson’s original 1982 film takes place in the world of Thra—which is home to creatures including benevolent Gelflings, wise Mystics, and villainous Skeksis—and has, over the decades, become a cult classic. The Netflix series will serve as a prequel that, per its log line, “returns to the world of Thra with an all-new adventure. When three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.
